BLOGALONG

So far so good! I have gotten the SCIMP Program idea out of the way, all nicely formulated and packaged and marked down in posterity for my own personal, future accountabilities. Now I can continue to blog on Wayne!

I have been researching the subject of retirement. Simple Google searches consistently take me to information about financial aspects of retirement. While financial security is an undoubted related issue that will greatly affect one’s decisions prior to and during retirement, it is not the only item to address.

Some of the other things that I have been thinking about:
What does security mean to me?
How have other retirees viewed their experiences in retirement?
What happens to your body when you have been doing the same thing for over 30 years and then one day (May 7) you suddenly stop doing that?

I am considering doing a series of interviews of people who have retired. There are a lot of questions that I would like to ask. I am currently formulating a question list that will form an outline for the interviews. Some of the areas that I am interested in asking about include gathering data on calmness levels, structuring time, sense of purpose, managing money, sources of fear and anxiety, bucket lists, addressing regrets and remorse, etc.
